Unless selected by HRC, personnel interested in attending a Functional or Additional Skill Identifier (ASI) Course should contact their Installation Quota Manager for procedures to follow in obtaining a school quota. If you do not know your quota manager, contact HQ TRADOC, commercial (757) 788-2053 or DSN 680-2053. Civilian Installation Quota Manager List. The Quartermaster Center and School Code is 101 for all courses. The NCO Academy School code is 601.
Functional and Additional Skill Identifier (ASI) Course classrooms are located in the Automated Supply Training Facility, Building 4225, 1831 A Avenue (A Avenue & 19th Street), Fort Gregg-Adams, VA. Respective functional and ASI Courses will begin on Monday afternoon at 1300 hours.
a. REPORT DATE:
1. Enlisted / NCO Students scheduled to attend a Functional course will be assigned to E Company / 244th QM BN (Telephone (804) 734-3244) , Room 121, Mifflin Hall (Bldg 5000). During weekend and non-duty hours, student will report to and must sign in with:
(a) Staff Duty located in Bldg 3101, A Company, (B Avenue & 11th Street), Tel: (804) 765-3795, the Report Date on Sunday prior to the start of the course on Monday.
(b) After signing into the company, you are required to report to Fort Gregg-Adams Lodging on your authorized arrival date if you are in a TDY status. You will report to Lodging/Billeting receptionist office for lodging and meals arrangement. Fort Lee Lodging is located off Mahone Avenue and Army Road. .
2. OFFICERS sign in with the Staff Duty Officer at Mifflin Hall (Bldg 5000) on the scheduled Report Date prior to the start date of scheduled class. Contact USAQMC&S SDO at telephone number (804) 734-5647, after duty hours and on weekends.

b. UNIFORMS or CIVILIAN PROFESSIONAL ATTIRE:
1. Duty uniform for military personnel is ACU. The ACU uniform is also worn for graduation. Military personnel must also bring their complete issue of PT clothing.
2. Civilian Professional Attire: Civilians are expected to dress appropriately for classroom training. Men: Business Casual--Slacks/Sport Shirt--Tie Not Required. Women: Business Casual--Skirt/Slacks/Blouse.
c. START DAY IN-PROCESS PROCEDURES: Soldiers may contact the Functional Division NCOIC at (804) 734-3557, located in BLDG 4225, Room 315D, for questions that may arises.
1. ENLISTED / NCO STUDENTS:
Monday morning (1st Day):
- 0730 - In process Soldier One-Stop, 2d floor, Room 221 (6 copies of orders and SGLV/DD93)
- 1245 - Class, Bldg 4225, 3rd Floor, Room 303 (PBUSE), Room 305 (SARSS2AC) and Room 311 (SAMS-1E)
Normal duty day: 0730 accountability formation (ACU) at BLDG 4225 Rear Dock.
2. OFFICERS: Student officers report to E Company, Room 121, Mifflin Hall (Bldg 5000) at 0830 hours to register with a copy of orders. After registering, immediately proceed to Soldier One-Stop, 2nd floor, Room 221. For information concerning reporting or in-processing, contact E Co Admin at (804) 734-3255/3243 during duty hours (0730-1630 Mon-Fri).
3. CIVILIANS: Attendees are required to bring their respective DD Form 1556 and report to Academic Records Branch for in-processing prior to 1130 hours on the class Start Day (Monday). Academic Records Branch is located in Bldg 5000 (Mifflin Hall), Room 203, A Avenue & 13th Street. Commercial telephone number is (804) 734-4239 or DSN 687-4239.
COURSE INFORMATION
a. Standard Army Maintenance System (SAMS)-1 Enhanced
Course Overview: The SAMS course is designed to train personnel to perform SAMS 1 operator and manager tasks at a maintenance activity where SAMS 1 is operational. Training encompasses the full spectrum of SAMS 1 application software such as master files, manpower files, shop stock files, utility processes, management reports and listings and interface with SAMS 2 and other software systems.
Course Prerequisites: The SAMS course is primarily designed to train selected enlisted personnel qualified in MOS 92A (E1 through E5), but is also open to 92A NCOs, DA civilians and other military MOS who are supervisors of 92A soldiers. Personnel attending the course should be on orders for or assigned to an activity operating SAMS 1 software. MOS 92A enlisted personnel are awarded the ASI B5 upon completion of the course.

b. Property Book Unit Supply-Enhanced (PBUSE). (See course number change for 2008)
Course Overview: The PBUSE (Property Book Module) course is designed to train personnel to perform PBUSE operator, manager and supervisory level tasks at the various activities where PBUSE is operational. Training encompasses the full spectrum of PBUSE application software such as master menu and help system features; systems administrative processes; support utilities processes; systems inquiries; code table files; catalog files; establishing authorizations; editing daily reports and listings; performing property book accountability transactions; maintaining hand receipts; performing multiple ERC updates; and processing component data update transactions.
Course Prerequisites: The PBUSE (Property Book Module) course is designed to train selected enlisted personnel qualified in MOS 92Y (E4 and above); E5 and above qualified in MOS 91J; warrant officer (920A); officer 92 series and 67A90; contractors and DA civilians. Officer personnel qualified as 67A70 must be graduates of the Medical Logistics Course. It is highly recommended that prior to attending the PB level of PBUSE that the student have a minimum of two years of experience in a Supply Room or currently working in the PBO in an assigned position. All personnel must be assigned, or on orders to, a division, separate brigade, armored cavalry regiment, nondivisional organization or installation where PBUSE is operational.

c. SARSS-2AC/2B ASI G2 Course
Course Overview: The SARSS course is designed to train personnel to perform SARSS operator, manager and supervisory level tasks. Personnel are trained on the full spectrum of SARSS 2AC/2B application software. Training consists of the following subject areas: issue referrals, setting control degrees, inquiries, status, local purchase, reparable item process, manager review actions, stockage level management, unserviceable assets management, performance standards, overdue shipment process, catalog build process, parameters user maintenance update, financial data, demand levels process, document history, communications and interface with other logistics application systems.
Course Prerequisites: The SARSS course is primarily designed to train selected enlisted personnel qualified in MOS 92A (E5 and above), but is also open to warrant officer (920B), officer (92 series) and DA civilians. HRC is currently the activity controlling the majority of personnel being enrolled in this ASI course. Enlisted personnel are awarded the ASI G2 upon completion of the course.
